Bloomberg: “Snap Said to Buy Placed for $125 Million to Track Ad Effects”

Bloomberg reports on Snap’s acquisition of Placed, the Renovata Partners client that measures the offline success of digital advertising campaigns.

The terms of the deal have not been announced, but commentators estimate the buyout to be valued at around $125m – making this Snap’s most significant purchase since IPOing earlier this year.

Snapchat’s owner is believed to be investing heavily in promoting the credentials of digital advertising to brands and retailers. To achieve this, Placed will maintain its independence – including remaining in its Seattle office.
